Happy New Years Eve!

Wow, it's hard to believe a whole year has gone by.  Why is that when we were younger time seemed to just drag and now that we're older time seems to fly by.  Tomorrow will be a new year and for me a new beginning.  I have my New Year Resolutions list already and I hope to get most of it done this year.  One thing on my list is to work on my blog more and to get it out more in the public eye.

I've also been kind of lax in my church attendance so I will be at Watch Night Service tonight and bring in the new year at my church and thank God for allowing me to see another year.

In the month of January, I have a few birthdays coming up.  My sister, Lisa's, birthday is the 5th and below is a card I made for her.  I should have had it in the mail already as she's doing some missionary work in Kenya, Africa and I'm sure it won't get there in time.

That's it for now.  I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Love,

TIS THE SEASON

December 14, 2012

TIS THE SEASON

Hello everyone,

Don't you hate the way people are changing up the reason for the season?  Some are saying "Xmas Cards" and others are saying "Holiday Cards".  Me, I'm calling them Christmas cards.  I'm keeping the "Christ" and "Mass in my cards.  So below are a few of the "CHRISTMAS" cards that I made.  The cards are made from Annie's CardMaker's Kit-of-the Month Club and PaperWishes Dazzles Kit.  I used the design paper from Paper Wishes and the dazzles on the snowflake.  The second card is made with Gina K Cardstock.  It's stamped with a Judikins rubber stamp that I picked up at the Heirlooms Convention in Springfield, MA back in June.  I added some flower soft to create the illusion of snow and sprinkled some clear glitter on the snow.  A card is not a card without some glitter!  KWIM!!  Sorry it came out so dim, and you can't see the glitter.  Trust me it glitters.  That's it for today.  I have to finish up my Christmas shopping this weekend, but I'll try to find time to upload a few more samples of the cards I made.  Remember to keep SCRAPPIN 2 HEAVEN!

Blessings,

MERRY CHRISTMAS

December 13, 2012

Hey, just wanted to do a quick post of one of the cards I made for the Holidays.  I used a lot of scraps I had in my stash.

The below card was made with Gina K cardstock and ribbon and scraps from my stash.  I don't remember who made the stamp and die.  I want to say it's an old JustRite set, but I'm not sure, so don't quote me.  That's it for today.  Remember to keep SCRAPPIN 2 HEAVEN.

Blessings,
Scrappy Dee

GETTING READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS

My heart goes out to all those who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.  My prayers go out to my family, friends and co-workers who were affected by Sandy.  I know at work we're still trying to get back to normal.

But anywho, Christmas is fast approaching and I'm trying to get my cards made up.  I'm always scrambling at the last minute trying to get all my cards done and mailed out in time.  So below are a few of the cards I've made so far.  They are made from the CardMakers Kit that I get from Annie's Attic.  Enjoy and remember to keep SCRAPPIN 2 HEAVEN.

Warm Wishes

Merry Christmas

Happy Birthday Auntie

September 30, 2012

Hello Everyone.  I'm going to my Aunt's 93rd birthday party today and I wanted to show you the card I made for her.  I'm trying to use up scraps that I have so I don't remember where I got all of my ingredients from.  But I used navy blue cardstock, metallic cardstock, dazzles stickers from Paper Wishes, Martha Stewart glitter, and markers.  The stamp I used for the inside quote is a stamp I got from Endless.com.  Enjoy and remember to keep SCRAPPIN2HEAVEN!

MONKEY BABY

September 25, 2012,

Hello everyone.  Just stopping by to show you a card I made for my neice's co-worker.  She wanted a baby card but it had to have a monkey theme.  The card is made using Gina K cardstock, as the base with design paper from K&Company. The monkey is a Magnolia stamp I purchased specifially for this card and it was colored with my copic markers.  I don't remember where I got the  metal letters but they're attached with brads to a pink ribbon thats taped to the design paper.  Enjoy and remember to keep SCRAPPIN2HEAVEN.
