Happy New Year's Eve

December 31, 2013

Happy New Year's Eve everyone!  Will stay in and rest up so that I can go to Watch Night Service tonight.  I like to bring in the New Year in church.  I need God to really move in my family so I'm going to make sure He's with me as I bring in the New Year.  Me and my children.

Anywho, here's a card I made.  At first my plan was to make it a thank you card.  With her arms spread out like that it looks like she's saying "I love you this much".  But after I put it together I changed it to a birthday card. I have a great niece who'll be turning 6 the end of January, so I'll be posting this card to her.  She's starting a career in acting and has already done a commercial for Nick Jr.  I'm so proud of her.

Happy Sabbath Day

                                                                                                                   December 6, 2013

It's the Lord's day and wanted to do a quick post and show another card I had made for Christmas and didn't get to mail out.  It's been a crazy year for me.  Anyone with a 13 year old who's going through puberty knows what I'm talking about.  I just pray next year is a better year for me and my family.

Any way here's the card I made, using up scraps I've had for a while.  I'm going to try and use up as much of my scraps as I can.  Whatever I don't use up  I'll have to get rid of since my scrap space is limited and it's a hot mess right now.  Maybe one day I'll post a picture of it.  Here's the card, and remember to keep Scrappin2Heaven!

MERRY GLITTERY CHRISTIMAS

Wishing everyone all over the world a Merry Christmas.  Hope everyone had a wonderful day and got everything they wanted on their wish list.  But even more importantly I hope everyone remembers the reason for the season.  Jesus Christ was born to take our sins to the cross.  I know there are some people out there who argue that Jesus wasn't born on December 25th.  That may be true, but I refuse to argue with anyone on what day He was born.  I'm celebrating the fact that He was born and that he died one day and rose again on the 3rd day so that I may have a chance at the Tree of Life and spend eternity in Heaven.  I don't care about the dates, I just care that it did happen.

Anyway, enough preaching for tonight.  I want to share a card I had made for Christmas.  Didn't get to send it out, so I'll have it ready for next year.  It was made using Martha Stewart Glitter on a Annie's Attic Card Making Kit (here's a link in case you want to join:  http://www.cardmakerkitclub.com/) I had gotten last Christmas and never got around to playing with it.  I like how it turned out.  It looks better in person.  Look out for more cards I made and never got to mail out.

And remember, always keep Scrappin2Heaven

Quick Post

December 26, 2013

It is freezing here in the northeast.  I getting ready to leave for work, but I wanted to post a quick and easy card to make.  I used up some scraps of design papers I had from my Annie's Attic Card of the Month Club (http://www.cardmakerkitclub.com/).  I cut out the dies with my Spellbinder die sets and used some ribbon from my stash.  I believe the stamp is from my card of the month kit also and the dazzle dots are from Paper Wishes Dazzle monthly kit that I get (http://www.paperwishes.com/personal-shopper/pd/monthly-premiere-dazzles.html).  My card base is from Paper Trey Ink and the white cardstock is from Gina K.  I made 5 cards and just alternated the colors.

Happy Birthday NeeNee!

October 27, 2013

Here's a card I made for my niece, who has a birthday coming up the end of the week.  This card was made using design papers and scraps I've had laying around for a while.  The image is colored with copics, the flower has some flower soft on it.  The shapes are cut out using my spellbinder dies, and the sentiment is from one of my cardmaking kits from Annie's Attic.  Inside I've cut some more shapes from my spellbinder dies and the sentiment is a stamp from Annie's Attic cardmaking kit.

It's been a while.  I'm really trying to post more often but life just keeps getting in the way.    But I have been making cards.  I just haven't had the time to post them.  Here's a birthday card I made about  a month ago.  The image is from Saturated Canary and I'm using up some scraps I had lying around.  Enjoy and I'll be back soon.

Remember, I love you and keep Scrappin2Heaven.

Happy Birthday Girlfriend

July 15, 2013

Here's a quick birthday card I made.  I had just gotten the Spellbinders Card Creater Dies A and B and wanted to play around with it.  This is the card I came up with.  I had also gotten butterfly die from the Heirlooms Rubber Stamp and Scrapbooking Show that I went to in April.  I like how it came out.

Thank You

July 12, 2013

Sorry I've been MIA for so long.  The girls are out of school for the summer, so I'm hoping to have time to make cards and scrapbook.  We just came back from Walt Disney World for the 4tth of July, and had a wonderful time.  I have been busy making cards, but just didn't have time to take pictures of them and download them to the computer and then go online and post them.  So I'm hoping to spend this weekend setting up a schedule of posts so that I don't fall so far behind again.

I had tried to make up some thank you cards for the girls' teachers, but I didn't get them finished in time.  Here's one of the cards that I had made.

The card was made using my paper stash, spellbinder dies and prima flowers.  Thanks for stopping by.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

May 11, 2013

I want to take this opportunity to wish every mother out there a Happy Mother's Day.  I am the proud single mother of two girls, and I can honestly say it's not easy, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.  Being a mother is a full time job and I think no one can appreciate or understand but another mother.  When I think of what my life would have been like had I not adopted my 2 girls, it's a scary thought.  They are my reason for waking up every morning.

Below is a card I made for my mother who turned 80 years old last week.  I used Papertrey Ink's Perfect Match Lemon Tart cardstock and their True Black ribbon.  The design paper is from K&Company, and the Love you lots quote is from Paper Wishes Color Me Floral Card Toppers.  I colored this Magnolia cutie with my copics. and used the bling from my stash.

That's it for now.  Remember to keep Scrappin2Heaven!

MIA

April 26, 2013

Sorry I've been MIA.  Family life sometimes takes over and their are just not enough hours in the day.  I'm throwing together this quick post before I head out to work.  It's supposed to be a beautiful day here in NY. Weatherman says it's going to be in the upper 60s.  Works for me!

Here's a picture of a birthday card I made.  I was playing around with foil paper and a new embossing die I bought.  The image is a flower dazzle from Paper Wishes that's laid down on double sided tape and sprinkled with fine glitter and then colored with my copics.  I love this technique. I first saw it done last year at the Heirlooms Rubber Stamp Convention in Springfield, Mass.
Okay have to rush.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and remember,

With Sympathy

March 1, 2013

Here's a sympathy card I put together.  I used an outline sticker and filled it in with clear glitter and then colored it in with my markers.  The shapes were cut with my spellbinder dies.  The inside sentiment was computer journaled and then cut with my spellbinder die.  It's good to have a card ready just in case, but I hope I don't have to use it for a very long time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

February 27, 2013

I got a gift card to Marker Pop from my 2 associates I work for this Christmas, which was a big surprise.  I've been wanting to play with the Saturated Canary stamps, but it wasn't in my budget.  So they don't know how happy they made me.  I got to play with this cutie during Christmas break.

She's colored with my copics.  Her earmuffs and boots are done in Liquid Applique snowflakes.  I put diamond glaze on her eyes and the mug.  The sentiment and the snowflakes are from Annie's Attic CardMaker Kit of the Month Club I belong to.  The pink dew drops are from the Ink Pad in NYC.  I'm running low on my stash of birthday cards so I'm trying to build my stash up.  That's it for today.

THANK YOU

February 20, 2013

Here's a thank you card I made.  The card base and white layering card stock are fom Gina K.  I used some glossy paper I got from Staples that I inked up with some Adirondack Alcohol Ink Wild Plum.  I then used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Majestic Elements die and cut some pink and white suede papers that I got from Paper Wishes.  The mesh (bubblegum pink I also got from PaperWishes) is scrunched over a pink gingham ribbon from my stash.  For the inside I used my cuttlebug and the same spellbinder die.  My sentiment is fom Amy R Stamps Many Thanks Sentiments.  I think this crad came out beautiful.  I love it.  Now, who should I send it to?!

That's it for today.  Keep Scrappin2Heaven.

CELEBRATE

February 12, 2013

Here's a birthday card I made.  Not sure who I'm giving it to yet, but I'm sure it'll find a home soon enough.  The cardstock and design papers are from a Paper Wishes Dazzles kit I get every month.  The stamp is a Kenny K stamp that I colored with copics.  I actually bought this stamp because it reminds me of my oldest daughter.  To me this stamp says "Look out world, here I come.  Look at me!"  And that's my daughter in a nutshell.  Always wanting to be seen.  Her birthday is this Friday.  This might be the perfect card for her.

That's it for now, I have to leave for work.  Love you guys.  Have a Scrappin 2 Heaven day.

Blessings,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIS

January 29, 2013

Here's a card I made for my sister and my niece.  I made two cards using all Gina K papers except for the red design paper which is from my stash.  The stamp and ribbon are also from Gina K and I used Viva Decor Pearl Pen in red to make the pearl dots above and below the sentiment.

That's it for now, short and sweet.  I'm typing this just before I head out to work.  Peace everyone, and remember to keep SCRAPPIN 2 HEAVEN!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

My first post of the new year is another birthday card I made.  She's a Magnolia stamp, and I've colored her with Copics.  I'm trying to use up all my scrap papers.  The die cut is a Spellbinder's die and the ribbon is from Papertry Inc.  Enjoy!
